Rheem Heating and Cooling Products
Insulation Service
This attractive wrap-around cabinet of
galvanized steel reduces unexpected
repair expenses by protecting internal
components from tree limbs,
baseballs, and other "hazards" of
normal living. It's finished with a
special electro statically-applied paint
to protect it from corrosion and keep it
looking new. A Rheem air conditioner
is engineered to keep service time
(and expense) to an absolute
minimum. By removing just one panel,
a service technician has complete
access to all internal components for
quick diagnostics and service.
Increase the energy efficiency of your home with our new insulation
service. Call us today for more information and a detailed quote.
Rheem Team Top Contractors are recognized contractors who specialize in installing and servicing award-winning Rheem heating

serviced, or replaced.
One of the most important areas that consumers should evaluate for "Going Green" is their heating and air-conditioning systems. Did
you know that on average, over 60% of your utility bills are for the operation of your heating and air-conditioning system? By
upgrading to a new Rheem Prestige Series® Home Comfort System, you help the planet with a system that utilizes an earth-friendly
refrigerant and you'll save a lot of "Green" each month.

Must be "placed in service" from January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2010

Must be for taxpayer's principal residence, EXCEPT for geothermal heat pumps, solar water heaters, solar panels,
and small wind energy systems (where second homes and rentals qualify)

$1,500 is the maximum total amount that can be claimed for all products placed in service in 2009 & 2010 for most
home improvements, EXCEPT for geothermal heat pumps, solar water heaters, solar panels, fuel cells, and small
wind energy systems which are not subject to this cap, and are in effect through 2016

For record keeping, save your receipts and the Manufacturer Certification Statement

Improvements made in 2009 will be claimed on your 2009 taxes (filed by April 15, 2010) — use IRS Tax Form 5695
(2009 version) — it will be available late 2009 or early 2010

If you are building a new home, you can qualify for the tax credit for geothermal heat pumps, photovoltaics, solar
water heaters, small wind energy systems and fuel cells, but not the tax credits for windows, doors, insulation,

Lavco is joining the fight against breast
cancer. For every Fall Special that we do
this year Lavco will donate $3.00 to the
Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.

Lavco has been involved in many
charitable endeavors in the past. We
have collected cans of food during our
Fall and Spring Specials to donate to the
Brazos Church Pantry. We have donated
time, materials and labor to Habitat for
Humanity. But this year we want to join
the fight against breast cancer. Although
we are not an affiliate of the Susan G.
Komen for a Cure Foundation we feel that
this nationally and internationally
respected foundation is doing an amazing
job promoting awareness and research in
order to eradicate breast cancer for
future generations of women throughout
this country and the world. We encourage
you to visit the ww5.komen.org and read
about the efforts of the Dallas, TX based
foundation and see why we are so
excited about our choice of charitable
organization for the Fall and Winter of
2009 and 2010.
Raising Awareness of the Dangers of Carbon Monoxide
What is Carbon Monoxide?
Carbon monoxide, or CO, is an odorless, colorless gas that can cause sudden illness and death.
Where is CO found?
CO is found in combustion fumes, such as those produced by cars and trucks, small gasoline
engines, stoves, lanterns, burning charcoal and wood, and gas ranges and heating systems. CO
from these sources can build up in enclosed or semi-enclosed spaces. People and animals in
these spaces can be poisoned by breathing it.
What are the symptoms of CO poisoning?
The most common symptoms of CO poisoning are headache, dizziness, weakness, nausea,
vomiting, chest pain, and confusion. High levels of CO inhalation can cause loss of consciousness
and death. Unless suspected, CO poisoning can be difficult to diagnose because the symptoms
mimic other illnesses. People who are sleeping or intoxicated can die from CO poisoning before
ever experiencing symptoms.
How does CO poisoning work?
Red blood cells pick up CO quicker than they pick up oxygen. If there is a lot of CO in the air, the
body may replace oxygen in blood with CO. This blocks oxygen from getting into the body, which
can damage tissues and result in death.
